Kat is so pleased when the ship thing stops tossing and turning that her face shows all the signs of her relief at the constant churning. She hurriedly folds over the corner of the page that she is reading and puts the book down before following the Goddess out onto the deck. She nods and lets Eivor go first, not that she could probably stop the tall warrior from doing so even if she wanted.
As she goes she assesses the shape of the ship and watches to see who else is on deck.

Brian sizes up Eivor as she comes up to the deck. He listens intently to Lorelei and the Captain. He doesn't know much about boats. When he needed men who knew the finer details of running a ship he brought them to him. "How far from Amber have we gotten?"

The ship is in rough shape; sails and rigging were torn away in the storm, one of the two skiffs has also been lost. The sailors wander about in a tired daze and drop to the deck in exhaustion. It will be hours before the remaining crew is rested enough to resume sailing.
"A few hours for the carpenter to fit the spar and have the sailmaker cut and sew the new sail in place. That'll still have to wait until they get some rest. Tomorrow afternoon will be the earliest." he tells Lorelei.
"Impossible to tell with time and distance being so fluid in shadow. Also, we are off the path, so I can't rightly say where or when we are."

I uncurled my fingers from the spokes of the wheel, I had been gripping it so long they didn't want to let go. I was stiff and sore but not worried about being lost. Then nearly over come by a fit of shivering. I may feel like a god but we are still only mortal. Which spending all night in the storm with out my shirt, quickly reminds me. Some of the crew lone me clean dry cloths and I get a hot cup of grog from the cook. Then I wrap myself in a blanket and go sit on the deck and just try to soak up the warmth of the sun.
"No need to worry Captian. You sail with a true Prince of Amber. You get us underway and I promise it won't be long before we find a port or a sail on the horizon.
But for now rest is in order, thanks to Lorilie we are in no danger of sinking. Feed the crew and send them to their bunks. The ship can drift for a few hours with only one man on watch to make sure we aren't pushed into hidden shoals.
Anyone know where we are? Anyone recognize the sky?"

Eivor shakes her head. "If there were stars we might be able to tell, but there's nothing to distinguish this from any of a thousand worlds."
She goes to check on the ships' compass to ensure it's still working and giving some idea of their heading before making her next move.
She checks the sturdiness of the main mast, then begins to climb. Perhaps a view from the top would give some clue as to where they were.

Kat doesn't know the sky and decides that its fairly obvious that she won't know the sky either so she instead heads over towards the broken rigging, sail and mast and examines them carefully. She mentally measures up what is needed for the sail and reveals the mirror in part of her cloak so that she can start to conjure a new replacement through them. She decides to incorporate a patchwork design on the sail in green and turqoise similar to the flooring on the castle back home. If she is going to be away for any amount of time (as it seemed likely) she wanted something to remind her of home.
It will take her time of course, but she feels that it is likely that she'll be able to pull the new sail from the mirror well before the ship's crew are able to be active and make the repairs themselves. After she has conjured the sail, she starts looking at working the the rigging next, followed by the new spar.

Brian surveys the action going on. He goes over to Katerina "Do you need aid in your work getting things restored and mended?" He cracks his neck and back and is ready to put in some more work on this. He looks up at the sky to see if he recognizes the stars and orbs above while he awaits Katerina's answer. "I am Brian, its a pleasure to meet you."

"Katerina, but most friends call me Kat." She replies trying to keep her concerntration on what she is doing.
Not that I have that many friends.
"I need to concerntarte." She says concerntrating. Once she has finished pulling the sail from her mirrors she frowns and turns to Brian. The man looked strong and fit but there was plenty of brvado and masculinity on this ship thing it seemed and a lot less practical sense.
Mind you if I'd have had any sense myself I'd have never gotten on this crate of wood and cloth to try and tame this boundless lake, but I must aid the Gods to help my people.
"I can make these things but I have no idea how they are supposed to fit on this ship thing. If you can do that I'm sure that would be of help." She concludes, handing Brian the sail before starting on making the rigging.

Brian looks to see if he can flag down and organize some of the sailors to get with putting up the rigging being made by Kat quickly. He has a soft rumbling chuckle as she looks at him and talks but his face is clearly amused.
He turns back to the Captain for a moment. "Any land you can make out in the distance? "

Calvera: "Anyone know where we are? Anyone recognize the sky?"
Lorelei: "The sky and waters belong to no sea in the Golden or Coral Circles that I am familiar with..."
: Katerina begins conjuring a replacement sail via her version of mirror magic.
Calvera: "Sorceress! Oh well I guess they are handy to have around some times."
: At roughly the same time as Calvera's comment, Brian and Katerina introduce themselves to each other.
Lorelei: Wandering closer, Lorelei opens her Mirror Wrighting perceptions to what Katerina is doing...
"You are welcome," she replies to Calvera. Indicating Katerina, she adds, "Sorcery and conjuration, however, are very different skill-sets. With sufficient training one could use both, or even create spells of conjuration... Our fellow traveler appears to be using a shadow of Rebma's mirror-magic to conjure replacement sails..."

Lorelei, it appears to your mirror wrighting perception that Kat is more than competant at this and the rest of her cloak not revealed as mirrors will also reveal itself as such to those perceptions. Everyone else, the rest of the cl,oak apart from the bit she has revealed herself will look like a plain boring cloak.
Kat's ears prick up at Lorelei's mention of mirror magic. She has read about Rebma now in Eivor's book and she merely nods her agreement as she continues her conjuration rather than breaking concerntration.

Brian nods to Princes Lorelei while working with the crew to assist Katerina with her work. He doesn't break from his task just yet. He checks the sky again to see if he recognize anything in the sky.

[OOC: Sorry, no crew. They're all sleeping.]
Barrett leans against the mainmast and tries to talk amid his continuous yawns.
"Prince *yawn* Calvera, since you handled the ship *yawn* so well in the storm and with Gil being washed overboard 'n all *yawn* I deputized you as the first mate while I go get some rest."
The captain heads below, leaving only the PCs on deck. The conjured items look mostly like they should and could be fitted mostly in the correct place, but who knows how to tie the rigging properly?
A slight current pushes the ship under the purple sky, the tattered remains of the smaller sails catch a hint of a breeze.

Katerina finishes her conjuring through the mirrors and hands the items off to whomever will take them (presumably Brian if he is handy).
She turns to find Lorelei on the deck.
"Did I hear you correctly Princess Lorelei that you have mirrormancers in Rebma?" She asks. Whoever made the mirrors in the Castle above was likely to be one of them and it would seem likely that there was a connection there to her homeworld.
