The mention of triple-standed DNA got me thinking about the TV show Earth: Final Conflict (based on notes provided by Gene Roddenberry), specifically about the character Liam Kincaid who joins the show as of season two... [first-run syndication (1997–2002)]

I went into a Amber group on Social Media and here is what I got as an answer about the DNA
"Amberites may not have DNA, since that is a coding method for cell conformity. When the "Shadows lie" for them, it might be that each of them has DNA that presents as idealized genetics.
A DNA for heritage test may not even give appreciable data, as the Amberite genome may have such small varaitions as to not be detectable by the testing methods."

The Coral and Merlin kid is a Pattern plan. Dworkin implanted the Jewel to protect Coral from the Pattern.

And isnt it implied the Kid is Corwin?

I'd assume so. Why else manipulate them both so they'd bone at the centre of the Pattern.

What? I must have missed something in the books.
Are you saying that Merlin would have a kid who turned out to be Corwin via time travel or something? So he is his own grandfather?

I'm not sure where Brian is getting that from. But it is a good idea; you get two Corwins without needing all that mirror business.

Nothing wrong with a good Mirror Maze.

I thought the baby was Corwin reborn via his pattern self in the jewel...I gotta dig out where that idea came to me

And here I was thinking it was a Ghost in the Shell reference - The sentience of the Pattern wanting to be free of the Sqiggle and thus arranged for Merlin and Coral (with the JoJ replacing an eye) to bone at the center of a Pattern (a freshly repaired Broken Pattern?)...
