Brian moves forward and punches the assailant in the face to try and knock him out.
Once that is done I try to check some of the rubble to see if I can find something fit for dressing the wounds.

Lorelei flexes as much as she is able while impaled. The outer ice is more like multiple inches of hardened frost than a solid frozen block. Her arms move fractionally and the ice audibly cracks. The slight bending of her wrist allows her sword to break through the surface, the silvery-blue light that dances over the blade's design causing the ice to part like strands of gossamer over razor sharp steel. Lorelei's sword-arm breaks free, but the ice is preventing all but the tiniest movements elsewhere.
Releasing the sword, Lorelei places her hand against the woman's back and pushes, the blood of Oberon flowing in her veins making itself known... .

The man once punched goes tumbling down the stairs, smashing into Kat who is busy fussing about trying to get the torch lit. His head and an arm lay at a unnatural angle, obviously broken.
There is nothing in the mess of rubble that can be used to safely treat Shelly's wounds. The pounding rains begin to seep down through the destruction above making her more uncomfortable. The plunging temperatures from the ice are also detrimental to her safety. Brian can't imagine her living another ten minutes without receiving competent medical care.

"I'll be back." I say to Kat as I proceed to try one of the doors on the ground floor. If for nothing else to get her some place dry and warm.

The woman trapped in ice is dead, blood streaming from her mouth frozen into red icicles stretching down to the floor. Kat recovers from the mishap and begins to melt the ice.
Lorelei works herself partially free but twisting the sword in her gut causes large amounts of her blood to pour out freezing alongside the other woman's.
There are now two women in dire need of medical attention.

[OOC: Brian, that will be difficult while confined in such a small area and it will take too much time. She will be dead long before he can return with any aid.]

Which door will Brian go through? The black door with ominous flashes of acetylene blue, or the ivory door with warm welcoming orange light but a puddle of blood seeping out from under?

Carrying Shelly or leaving her at the top of the stairs? Carrying her to minimize risk of exposure.

Lorelei and Katerina:
Brian comes bounding down the stairs carrying Shelly in his arms. He rushes through the black door, which slams shut behind him. The dead woman raises her head, through blood-encrusted lips, says:
"He chose....most unwisely."
Her head falls back down dead.

"Get me loose and we can go after them," Lorelei tells Katerina. She is starting to shiver, from blood-loss, the cold, or a combination Kat cannot be certain. "Use the sword on the ice...," she adds. She doesn't specify whose sword...
'Sword, sword, sword... What enchantment allowed it to penetrate my armor?' echoes through Lorelei's thoughts.
Strange words in the Rebman tongue flow from Lorelei's lips, "Waters of Life" she translates for Kat's benefit. Lynchpins slotted and the spell cast, Lorelei is enveloped in a luminescent second skin of warm flowing water, even breathing it in [not technically necessary, but...]. In the cold, a warm mist rises from its surface. If that were not peculiar enough, her blood begins flowing back into the wound and the wound begins trying to close [the Percy Jackson effect]... Lorelei is not worried about Kat's sword still being stuck in her, because she knows this spell is continuous until she chooses to end it. It will not be a pleasant experience, but she is alive and can only get better... The time remaining to try saving Lady Shelly, however, is running out... .
