#s://i~ibb~co/j5FLskF/Florimel~jpg [OOC: Sorry. Kat, I'm not trying to ignore your BG but after the recent deaths, the elders aren't going to rush into some mystery in shadow. They'll need some time to scout the thing out before committing to a course of action.] "You seem grumpier about the Deigans leaving more than Random and Vialle dying" Flora answers. "We have a list of namees and descriptions of the delegates for you. Members of their government will meet you when you arrive to take you to them.
"The killer of the king and queen died in the attempt. He was a powerful god set on vengence we have to assume. The guard killers we know only of the man - his description will be in the packet describing the other Deigans - the woman is unknown aside from blue clothing and brown hair."

Eivor bites back a sharp reply.
"I want justice is all," she answers, moderating her tone with an effort. "That is the best way to honor the lost. Please don't accuse me of treating the matter lightly when your sister stands laughing as if all is right with the world."
"I shall take my leave then. Kat, you are welcome to come with me now or meet me later."
She bows to her aunt and moves to withdraw.

[OOC - No, its okay I understand there are plot needs. Its just Kat will be insistent that if she does this task for the Gods, then the Gods will help her world]
Katerina looks a little lost as to whether she should go with Warrior Goddess Eivor or stay with the Green gowned Goddess. She is more than aware of the presence of the other Goddess Fiona in the room and she is sure that her being here is not a coincidence. She wonders if perhaps the other Goddess is waiting for a chance for her to be alone as the last thing she said to Katerina was that they would meet again. In the end, not knowing what else to do in her indecision she lets Eivor leave for now.
"So you know the God who killed your King and Queen Gods then? Can you tell me a little about him please? To get to know about his associates it would be wise to know about their leader in the plot. Believe it or not I am quite used to the plots at the Court back home and navigating their threats. The more information I have about these people the more I will be of use. I am not without skill, but I need a foundation to build my information gathering. The Warrior Goddess I suspect may try and beat the truth from people if she can, but this situation demands other talents I believe Goddess. I hope I have said nothing that may offend, but that is just my reading of the Goddess from our initial meeting." Katerina says to the Green Goddess.

#s://i~ibb~co/j5FLskF/Florimel~jpg "Hmm, yes, you may be of use. The killer was, I suppose, a god himself but a silly minor buffoon of a wizard. While we only suspect that he was a part of a plot we have no knowledge yet on his accomplices. The only thing we are sure of is that he couldn't have been the ringleader. But he doesn't matter now since he perished in the explosion with Random and Vialle.
"So, using your intuition and experience, what can you tell me about those who plotted against the king?"

"Your God King was called Random? What a strange name!" Katerina almost laughs when she hears the name, but wisely stifles it in the presence of the Goddess. "Was he named that for a particular reason, it seems an odd name to me, but then I have not been brought up in the ways of the Gods?"
Katerina has a think about some of the things she has been told.
"How are you sure that he wasn't the ringleader? There must be some other information there that I am missing because he could have been some kind of anarchist or Death Cultist who thought he would gain supremacy in the afterlife? Killing yourself to achieve your goal is an extreme thing to do and the mark of a fanatic. Though I concede that he could have just been incompetant and he did not get out of the way in time or underestimated the opposition he would face."
"Then we would need to examine the motive for the attack. It could have just been a separatist movement in this place, Deiga was it, who wanted to break ties with the Gods or it could have been an attempt to frame these people to get the wrath of the Gods to come down upon them." A thought occurs to Kat. "Was anything missing or stolen during the assasination of your God leaders? The best way to hide a crime sometimes is to commit a more heinous one and then the lesser crime is overlooked for the motive. Why send two others if the assassin will die in the attempt anyway unless the real motive for the incursion is being concealed. You may have lost some divine sheen by losing your leaders but from what I gather there are plenty of Gods or Goddesses who can take their place as your leaders, so the assasination would seem to be concealing some other motive in my view. I hope I have not spoken out of line or ill of the Gods in my words." She bows her head respectfully.

#s://i~ibb~co/j5FLskF/Florimel~jpg Flora smiles. "It was a strange choice for a name. We never did learn what Oberon was thinking of when he chose it."When Kat finishes speaking: "You did speak ill of the gods but not out of line; we talk that way about each other all the time. And I will do so now; Leonil was too guileless and foolish to be the leader of a plot. Why I doubt he would have been able to survive if it wasn't or the army of servants and attendants in the castle. That is the reason why we suspect that the killings of the guards were not part of the plot, but people using the confusion during the accident to access our version of the Mirror Maze. Such a thing could be done with more planning and secrecy if they had chosen to wait.
"And, yes, we have lost a few of the best, but more gods seem to find their way into Amber with regularity."

Oberon, Kat rolls the name around in her head though it means nothing specifically to her. She does however memorise it as with all the otehr information the Goddess is providing her with.
"Then this Leonil was duped into doing so by others. That might make sense if he did not have the sense to see the consequences of his actions. These others, the man and the woman must have been powerful in their own right to both kill the guards of the Gods and survive the God Mirror Maze. I know that walking our Mirror Maze back home took many a life when it did so, and I'm guessing that the Maze of the Gods would be the same if not worse."
"So these other people were powerful people too and whatever they had stolen, they were eager to get away with it quickly rather than be caught and questioned with it. Secondly there is the question to consider of actually killing the guards. Often it is easier in combat to maim or incapacitate an opponent than kill them outright unless you do not want them to come back later for revenge or tell of what they had learnt. What if it was obvious what the pair had stolen or the guards saw it somehow, so they were killed to prevent them from telling the other Gods and Goddesses what the real plan was?"
She finishes her meal and puts her eating instrument down carefully, still glancing over occaisionally at the red haired Goddess out of the corner of her eye.

#s://i~ibb~co/j5FLskF/Florimel~jpg "Our maze, which we call the Pattern, source of order in the universe, is much more challenging to traverse than the Mirror Maze; only those with the blood of the gods, those who descended from Oberon can find their way to the centre without getting destroyed. Sometimes even those with the blood of Oberon do not survive the experience.
"Yes, that Coy was a great swordsman it seems and one of the family too if he managed to walk the Pattern. He wouldn't have as much of a need to keep his identity secret since he had been a guest in the castle for a few weeks before the incident. His companion, however, must have been new here if they chose murder to keep her description unreported."Flora finishes her meal and pushes her plate away. "Truly one cannot steal the only thing of value in the castle, which is the Pattern and the power which one earns by walking it. One can only assume that Coy and his friend fought their way down to it to take their chances in traversing it. Damn! I was the one who gave him and his fellow delegates a tour of the castle and showed them the way to the Pattern.
"Fortunately, Eivor is an experienced warrior-god and should put up a better fight than the guards."Just then, a servant comes to the table and informs Kat that Eivor is heading to the docks and will be leaving on her ship very soon.

Oberon. The Pattern. Coy. Kat committed these names to her memory as well as all the other information that she was gleaning. So the woman was passing herself off as a servant. A warrior and someone undercover, stealthy even. Wasn't life funny that the two sent to find the perpetrators mirrored the ones that they were looking for. Mirrors everywhere in this place yet none seemed to see them, except maybe the God Delwin and the Goddess Fiona. She gave the red headed Goddess another glance.
Katerina nods. "Yes, she seems very fiersome. I would be afraid if she were fighting me. When they traverse this Pattern they gain the power of the Gods, right? Perhaps then that is what they were trying to steal all along."
Katerina looks at the servant blankly. "What are these docks and where are they that I can find this ship?" A ship was obviously some mode of transportation of the Gods, and Katerina envisioned that it would be a grand palatial wagon set to all the luxuries that the Gods and Goddesses would have accrued. A Goddess would of course travel in style.

"Undoubtedly so, once attuned to the Pattern one has anything they could possibly want only a few steps away. Your Mirror Maze will grant you much the same one you take the time to learn the full extent of the power you have earned."
The servant is confused for a moment.
"The ships are generally kept in the port where the ocean meets the base of the mountain, Lady." he says while giving a confused look to Flora.

Power? From the Mirror Maze? There was undoubtely a connection to it in her mind, a memory almost of the intricacies of the Patterns of the Mirror and Katerina found that she could almost picture any part that she wanted to, but there was no time now to further explore what power it gave. FOr now she just nodded as the Goddess in green explained.
Port, Oceans more things from this place that made no sense to her. Mountains she understand. Something that met mountains then.
"Could you get someone to guide me to this Ocean place where I can find this ship and the Warrior Goddess Eivor please? I am afraid that I am very new to the place of the Gods that you call Amber and for now a guide would be helpful so that I do not get lost. I would not want to disappoint th Goddess."

"A guide to the docks, you say? How fortunate that I have some of my staff heading that way shortly. Meet them at the front gate in ten minutes."She then strides purposefully from the dining hall side-by-side with Lord Chantris. Kat sees a flash of irritation cross Flora's face. "It seems that my sister has you well taken care of," she says with some spite. "Castle staff will see you to the gate, good luck,"She gestures to the messenger indicating that he should stay with Kat and then she walks off into the crowd exchanging greetings with a few of the remaining people in the room.

Katerina looks confused between the green haired Goddess and the Goddess dressed in green who clearly were not on friendly terms. She had assumed that the Gods and Goddesses lived here in peace and harmony but clearly that was not the case.
"Thank you Goddess for your help." She says as the Goddess Flora departs.
She takes one last look around the room at the Goddess Fiona and then follows the indicated servant through the corridors to the Castle gates, all the while taking in the architecture and pictures hanging there. Everything here seems familiar yet strange at the same time and Kat has to wonder if their own castle back home was modelled a bit on this one. Perhaps once when her people had the ears of the Gods and Goddesses they came here and built their own version of this place to honour the Gods and Goddesses.
Once they reach the gate, she thanks the servant for her kind help only sorry that she did not have coin to give them for their trouble and looks around for the people that the Green haired Goddess said that she was to meet here.
