Jaxiam and Natalia:
The man is large and powerfully built. Jaxiam's Logrus sight shows the mn has an aura of magic about him but it is difficult to make out any greater detail due to the magical interference from the city itsself.

Calvera walks toward the two, then stops when he notices they are watching him. He pauses for a moment then continues walking to them.
"What signs do you bring me shade? What portents? What omens? Speak I compel you!"

Sensing the magic swirling about the man Jax falls back to an En garde position with both sword and pistol at the ready.
Still keeping a wary eye out for any of the Chaos Hounds.
Hearing the approaching figure's question, Jax glances at Natalia and raises an eyebrow to signal his confusion to her.
"You would dare to insinuate that we are ghosts of this place? Perhaps it is you who are the ghost given life by magic?"

Natalia nods and returns the look to Jax. She takes a slightly more relaxed position. "We are not shades or ghost. We're living flesh and bone. What is your name, sir?" Natalia calls out to the man. "Are you the master of the Chaos hounds wandering the ghost city?"

"I am called Calvera. No friend to the hounds of Chaos, if you are hunting them they went that way following another woman. Even in this dream I would deprive them of their prize."

"I am Jaxiam a Scion of House Sawall. The lady is likely the one we clashed with in Le Bon Marché." Jax points at the building behind them with his pistol. "The Chaos hounds are very dangerous. Many houses from the Courts use them to hunt other demons and sometimes even fugitives from House Justice. They instantly regenerate from any wound not inflicted by silver or an item of true power. I would dearly like to kill one so I could determine what House would dare to unleash a Pack of Chaos Hounds here. The lady the were chasing was she perhaps carrying a shotgun and wearing a fedora and black trenchcoat?"

Nat nods and waits for Jax to finish. "Nice to meet you Calvera. I'm Natalia Berriman. I would prefer she not die as well. I have questions for her, and she didn't answer them the first time. It is possible if we save her butt, she'll be more willing to divulge the information I want." Natalia smiles, but it's almost too sweet looking. "I thoroughly don't enjoy being told what to do." She says with a shrug. "But then no royalty does."

Sawal and Bariman auspicious omens indeed, but who else would she send me to see. Or perhaps she meant me to die at your hand?
Are you in the line of succession lady? They say the house of Bariman has grown so large that everyone in Amber claims to be a Prince or Princess.
It may well have been the same woman I saw? Can you track the Hounds, Sorcerer? I could try but if you are also from Outer Darkness your aura will interfere.

The woman, pursued by hounds, ran along the side street to the west of the intersection the trio is standing at.
Calvera:
There is a magical series of ripples on the walls of a nearby building. The brick and plaster clouds then reforms as the stonework he recognizes as Amber castle. On the wall are crossed lances and pennants from some long-forgotten war. Under the lances are hung a collection of displayed weapons one of which, a silver-headed heavy pick, glows softly.

When in a dream never ignore Chekhov's gun. A war pick, for piercing heavy armor, and silver for demons.
He grabs it off the wall and tests its weight. Before nodding to the shades.

Suddenly there is an ear-piercing howl from many hounds in the Shadowpack out of sight down the west road.

"Be careful with the Chaos Hounds, they are about the size of a lion and weigh 500 pounds. Half wolf and half demon, they can only be hurt by silver weapons. Thier canines inject a paralytic venom, and their claws are tougher than steel and can shred armor. Many of the Lords of the Courts keep them for hunting of demons and other dangerous fauna. I have never heard of a pack this far from the Courts. The lords use magical collars to prevent the packs from turning on thier handlers. Everyone carries a house charm that interacts with the collars to prevent attacks. If we can get one of the collars it will have the heraldry of its house."
Jax gestures down the sidestreet the lady and the hounds went. "Shall we go then?"
