"Sorry, talk to him again? I wasn't aware that I've spoken with King Rinaldo at all yet." Kat replies.

"Excuse my words, he seems the sort of person who talks to everyone I assumed he had," Eivor replies. "If not yet then soon. I think I'll go and lie down for a bit, do call if you need me."
With that she departs for her rooms.

Kat nods. "Introduce me to him at the party."
She watches as Eivor departs and finishes her meal. When the young servant girl comes to take her finished plate away, she asks her.
"Excuse me asking this Miss, but do you perchance know someone by the name of Wollen?"

Eivor:
When she arrives at her still unfamiliar rooms, Eivor finds a letter from Flora waiting for her. It details Eivor's schedule for the next two days: 7 hours for measuring, sewing, and fitting of her gown, 5 hours for hairstyling, 8 hours for bathing and makeup, all in preparation for the celebration.

Kat:
"I'm sorry, m'lady? Wollen, is it? I don't believe that I have ever served anyone in the castle who goes by that name." the servant says.

Eivor wonders how it is at all possible to take so much time over something so trivial as a ball. She sighs, pockets the note and grabs a little rest before the seamstresses arrive.

" Maybe he's one of the visiting dignatories coming for the party. Do you know who's been invited and what they're like? I'm so new here that I don't really know anyone much." She says with a friendly smile. Always good to get a bit of advanced information on who she might meet.

#s://i~ibb~co/j5FLskF/Florimel~jpg Eivor:The seamstresses arrive and show Eivor a large assortment of fabrics and make her choose which one she wants for her dress. They next bring out a wide array of colours for her to choose from. After the debate, suggestions, and arguments die down begins the measuring, cutting and sewing. Then, after many long hours and further debates about lengths, the gown's cutting, sewing, and fitting. Flora enters the room when they finish causing the servants to flee like a flock of startled starlings. They only manage a "Think on your hair and what we can do with it in that gown" before departing. The princess looks about the room like a victorious general surveying a battlefield. "So all is proceeding according to plan. Now we must plan our tactics for the party."

Kat:
The Chatelaine brings her a list of invited guests. Some have checkmarks beside their names indicating that they have responded to the invitation. Most of the names are unfamiliar to her. Still, she has met a few people like Brian, Calvera, and Lorelei, others she has heard spoken of from her meetings with Eivor, such as the other princes and princesses of this land and some of the local noble families. Rinaldo is on the list as 'King Rinaldo of Kashfa'. No one on the list is named Wollen, however.

Not a guest then. Perhaps they are in one of the invited nobles servants.
"Sorry Miss, it's my fault that I wasn't clear enough. I'm after a full list of attendees including the attendants to those who have been specifically invited. They must surely have to provide such a list so as to establish quartering for the men and ladies of the greater folk. The Chamberlain here must be beside himself with having to organise all the accomodations, but that would mean that he has a full list of names. If you could furnish me with a copy of that and the person and place they represent that would be really useful. Oh and the room they are assigned would would be a wonderful bonus." Kat replies.
It would be interesting to know who was on the list for Deiga. Deiga were already compromised by Coy and it was possible that he could use the cover of that chaos to try and slip back into the Castle in disguise.

Kat:
It takes some time but eventually another, much longer list of names is delivered to Kat. It is explained that a large number of people have been left off the list for reasons of security. No Wollen or Coy, but a number of knights and retainers, some priests of the Unicorn and other religious orders, generals, admirals, and lesser nobility fill up the ranks.

She hardly expected to see Coy's name on the list, but the lack of Wollen was a disappointment. She expected that Coy was a ficticious name used for the ruse last time to get into Amber, and Wollen would just be another disguise and false name that he could discard at will.
"And this includes all the serving folk does it? What is the security reason people are left off this list? How long till the party starts?" Kat asks studying the list intently and trying to memories all the names and where they were from. At least that would be useful when meeting people who she didn't know. She looked who Deiga might have brought with them. Of course this spy Coy might have infiltrated any delegation, after all he could influence the weak minded into accepting him in their company.
She had to prove her worth to the Gods and Goddesses so theywould return with her and defeat the demons of her home. So far she'd failed to find anything useful no matter how she tred. Coy was good at covering his tracks, but one day he'd make a mistake.

Eivor is gradually losing her sanity and patience but reminds herself that she needs Flora's support. "There are far better things I can be doing with my time, Your Royal Highness," Eivor tells her politely. "We could make this much quicker by shaving off my hair and wearing a wig. Then your very capable servants can spend their time fiddling with someone elses' head while I attend to matters of castle security."
"Please tell me you are taking my warning seriously."

Kat:
There are a few Deigans on the list, but no name is recognizable from her time in the city. Some servants are too low in importance to be named. She is told that she has the public list of names, a more extensive collection of names and ranks is only for the castle's security staff.

Eivor:
Flora is taken aback from Eivor's comments.
"But a good party is part of castle security. Bringing all these important people together and seeing how they interact with one another, resolving and creating petty feuds, impressing foes with our luxuries, identifying intractable enemies and evaluating who we can set against them, these are the parts of ruling that are most important.
"And besides, what would you say Amber really is?"
