It is a cold, blustery morning on the docks of Amber. The skies are filled with grey clouds rapidly scudding across the sky. Berthed ships have dockhands and crew rushing about preparing to sail with the tide. Other ships are at anchor in the bay, either waiting for a chance to dock or having been fully loaded, ready to sail this morning. The heave-hoing sailors are singing sea shanties, directions and commands yelled by captains and stevedores, merchants, trade guild representatives and insurance brokers hurriedly yell their final deals and agreements before the sail bell is rung.
Close to Gerard's marvellous machine, there is an unnatural ripple in the waves gently breaking against the shore. The rings grow larger and spread further, and then the head of a large man breaks the surface. He continues to march out of the sea, and then a shorter woman rises at his side. Both carry weapons; the man wears exotic armour from some undersea kingdom.
"Demons! Demons invade from the sea!" someone in the crowd yells.
Soon there is a commotion of people running back and forth across the promenade, obstructing the harbour guards' attempts to form a defence against Lorelei and her guard.
[OOC: now is a good time to describe the appearance of the guard and Lorelei.]

[Sorry to Interrupt when you say "large man" do you mean giant? Or big guy 6 or 7 feet tall? You said there were unnatural waves caused by their passage.]

The damage in Amber was reflected in Rebma... Not brick for brick was it mirrored, nor in lives lost, but enough...
The rubble was cleared and the final respect given to the dead. Mourning would come later, in private.
Llewella, the Queen's sister was spending some time with her other family in the city above. Now it was time for Lorelei, the Queen's daughter by Corwin to do the same. After losing Morganthe so long ago, the Queen Mother would have sent an entire squad of soldiers to protect this daughter. For the first time ever, the Queen relented allowing Lorelei to travel with just one of the elite guard.
Knowing how harbor water is typically polluted, her guard carries an enchanted stone. It causes the surrounding water to be cleaned/purified around it for 30 feet in all directions. Where water meets air, the interface churns and froths. The woman and her guard emerge from Amber's harbor at the center of this effect.
Using local objects to build a frame of reference, the smaller woman is only small in comparison. She is 6 feet naught. She has long black hair, so dark that it has blue undertones when the light hits it just so. And when one is close enough to see them, she has beautiful jade-colored catlike eyes and arched eyebrows that stand out against her pale pink complexion. She possesses a slim and unusually fit built made all the more enticing by one obvious fact. This is a Rebman woman of noble blood in fairly standard Rebman attire; black swim-trunks covered by a short skirt of silver scales with pouches along the belt-line. Her only other adornments are a coiled bracer on her left forearm that resembles a flattened silver eel and a saber hanging at her side. The most striking thing about her, other than the obvious, is that she has a strong resembles to Faiella’s bloodline.
Her guard, on the other hand, grabs your attention for an entirely different reason. He is nine feet tall, naturally armored (as in it is part of him) and looking like a cross between an extremely muscular man and a crab; the human-ish hand holding a trident and the other being a crustacean claw the length of your elbow to fingertips... it's head looking like a flattened helmet or rice paddy worker's hat... For those not in a panic, one might notice that the portion of his trident between shaft and trines displays the Rebman royal crest identifying him as a member of their palace guard. Could this be one of those near legendary tritons? .

Most of the crowd has fled the waterfront leaving the harbour guards forming a defensive line against her.
"Go back t' the water, sea-witch, we'll have none o' yer enchantments laid upon us today," the captain calls out.

"To arrive by sea after misplacing one little boat hardly seems to warrant such a reception," Lorelei replies with an almost bored demeanor.
Looking up and catching the eye of her guard, in a serious tone she tells him, "Return to the palace and inform the Queen [Moire] and Queen Mother [Moins] that I have safely arrived in Amber."
Returning her gaze to the captain of the harbor guard she adds, "Be prepared for an education when the royals in yon castle hear of this. I am Princess Lorelei of Rebma..."
At that moment Eivor's booming voice reaches them, "Is this how you greet my royal cousin? Send word to the castle of the arrival of our guest."
And Lorelei finishes her introdution, "... daughter of Prince Corwin of the royal family of Amber." .

At the mention of Corwin, the few remaining civilians boo and hiss at her. The guards remain silently vigilant and lower their pikes slightly.
"You'll find no love for Prince Corwin around these parts, Princess," the captain says.
"'e killed me father!" one of the people says.
A rotten cabbage is thrown at Lorelei and lands in the water next to her.
"His naval assault on Amber has left hard feelings for him down in the docks. His army marching up Kolvir has left the city opposed to him. Best keep his name off your lips when away from the castle," the captain concludes.
He orders his men to let Lorelei pass.

"There is more to those events than has been told to those outside the Family," Lorelei tells the Captain. "I shall keep your council in mind..."
'The problem with near immortality,' she thinks to herself, 'is that over time it devalues everything around the bearer, especially the people... Not that the willfully ignorant are any better in their short-sightedness...'
She scans the docks in the direction the booming voice had originated from, and quickly spots the familiar faces aboard the Antelope. Pushing down a feeling of unease at the sight of the ship itself, she approaches the gang-plank and calls, "Ahoy, Antelope... Permission to come aboard." .

The Captain bows to Lorelei.
"You are most certainly welcome aboard the Antelope, Princess." the captain says. "Barrett, at your service. I must warn you that a few of your fellow royal cousins have also taken passage on this trip."

She returns the greeting with a deep nod saying only, "Lorelei" for his benefit.
"I have noticed. At a time such as this, it is my duty to visit the castle, but I saw my cousins aboard and wanted to exchange a few words with them before I make my way up the mountain." Taking a deep [eye-popping] breathe as she raises her hand, as a Lady would for a Lord, she says, "Perhaps you could tell me about your ship while we make our way over to the cousin who is still on deck."
She took in every detail that could seen on the approach and decided she has seen vessels in better condition sitting on the ocean floor. Was the ship named Antelope because, on a good day, it looks like it had been repeatedly trampled? Now is not the time, however, to share that observation or supposition...
She follows where he leads... .

"My princess, you honour me with your interest in my fine ship and I will tell you what I can of her but alas she is a small ship and There are so few steps until we come alongside your royal cousin! The Antelope, like every fine lady, has hidden charms; don't let her outward appearance hide her diamonds from your eye! But don't take my word for it when you'll be with her when we set sail only minutes from now!
"Ah, and here is your royal cousin, prince Calvera. He too hides his true worth under a rough exterior!
"Prince Calvera, may I introduce your royal cousin Princess Lorelei."

[OOC: With everyone remaining in their own thread, while they interact I'll multi-post.]
Calvera: Lorelei: "As I was telling Captain Barrett, with the events of Amber being reflected into Rebma, it's my duty to visit the castle and pay my respects. I noticed Family aboard and had to indulge Tradition. There is no telling how many decades before we see each other again."
"Speaking of, I hope our respective fathers' game has finally been set aside, and our's will be one of our own making."
She moves her hands such that he can grip them in his own or step between them for a hug. If he chooses the hug, their torsos briefly press together and he notices her bracer still bares a bit of sea-chill as it touches his back. Even with both of them barefoot, Lorelei tops Calvera by two inches. While they have similar builds, she weighs a bit less due to the gender difference. Her hair is long and black, reaching her mid-back, and is so dark that it has blue undertones, much like his father's. She has beautiful jade-colored catlike eyes and arched eyebrows, similar to Llewella's, that stand out against her pale pink complexion. She is attired Rebman fashion; black swim-trunks covered by a short skirt of silver scales with pouches along the belt-line. Her only other adornments are a coiled bracer on her left forearm that resembles a flattened silver eel and a saber hanging at her side. To the initiated, her blade seems to posses a gravity of its own... At this range, it's unmistakably a Pattern-blade.
"So, what has you booking passage on this vessel? I assume Eivor has gone below deck. Is she travelling for the same reason?" .

Calvera:

Lorelei: She takes no offense from his stiffness or the slight distancing. The differences between their worlds was more than just air- or water-breather, patriarchy or matriarchy, insular or open mores. "It is my understanding that our fathers were so much alike that it fueled their rivalries and eventually their hatred of each other. I am glad there will be no hostilities carried over between us."
"I imagine that Father's Paris will be as different from Amber as is Rebma, in a myriad of unexpected ways. Having never been there, I would be a poor guide, but perhaps my presence could smooth your way. Ever since I learned of its existence, I have wanted to see it, but the loss of Morganthe has made Mother over-protective, hence...," and she gestures back to where she had come ashore with the palace guard, who has already disappeared below the waves... The mention of her deceased sister noticeably darkens her mood.
The new arrivals draw her attention for a moment. Nuances in how they carry themselves tells Lorelei the woman is some kind of noble, but the man... there is more to him than initially meets the eye. "I don't suppose you know who they are...," she comments to Calvera. .

The ringing of a large bell sounds out over the harbour, signalling that the tide is optimal for the ships to sail. Across the bay, ships raise anchor, unfurl sails and set out across the sea. Behind them, the docked ships pull in their gangplank, unmoor their ropes, then sail of row out into the water.
Barrett yells at his crew good-naturedly and has them push off and race the other ships out of the bay.
