Figured I would start are plague thread. My social circle has constricted down to my house, my parents, and one other family. My wife is layed off, I have been off for 2 weeks for a completely unrelated injury. Parents retired, other family retired.
We're all doing fine. But going a little stir crazy. How are you?
(Also its Bella's fault. She had to have 19 crows.)

I'm out of work right now also. I work in the film industry and it has completely shut down now. I live on my own, so my social circle is just me, but doing okay. Lots of books to read and shows to watch. Haven't started getting stir crazy yet, but only a matter of time I suppose. I have family near by, and they are all doing well thankfully.
A friend of mine is having a worse time of it. She's out of the country right now, in Bali. First she was about to fly back when all this started, but someone showed symptoms so they quarantined everyone in a hotel for a week, so she missed that flight. It wasn't bad she said, except everyone was stuck inside and not allowed outside, even to the gardens or pool or anything, so super boring. Then on the 6th day a few of the people there started getting sick (including her) and are all now quarantined in a local hospital. They've tested her for Corvid, but won't get the results for another few days. She has already started getting better from whatever she had (cold, flu or corvid, no one knows what they all have had yet, but she did say it was one of the sickest she's ever been) so that is good. But she has been stuck alone in a hospital room for almost a week now, missed the flight back to Canada, and there isn't another flight scheduled for another 9 days, and she is not even sure she'll be allowed on that one, even if she is fully recovered by then. After that there is no word if there will even be other flights out of the country or if she will be stuck there, unable to work and not much money, until all this passes.
So I consider myself lucky. Couldn't imagine being stuck in one room with only my phone to keep me entertained for even a day, let alone over a week and counting. And at least I am home and have stuff to keep me entertained.

Glad you are holding up well. Nova Scotia declared a state of Emergency yesterday. They closed the parks cause they were too crowded.
We shrunk our social circle even more. Fortunately we are fairly sunny in our disposition, and able to handle doing nothing. Don't know that I could handle a week in a room with only my smart phone. That sounds rough.
Stay safe, stay sane.

welp, just about everyone is under the " stay - home " orders by now. I gotta wonder which is going to be the bigger epidemic ; coronavirus or Cabin Fever

My work had the shutdown order last week, but we already had a plan in place to pay people 80% even without the finally-passed stimulus package. So I'll be paid for my time, though my partner, who does in-home consultations, is out of work unless people want to do phone consults.
Kids are home, driving us crazy. We have 5 people, 3 phones, 2 computers, 1 switch, and 1 tv with the other 3 consoles hooked up to it. There's pretty much 1 kid room, the kitchen, and the main living space for us all to hang out in. Better than a hotel room, but still crowded (kids are 10-14).
We miss our several f2f games each week, that got us out of the house in different directions, and while I bought a minecraft realms subscription (java edition), there are 3 of us who play in it and only 2 machines. We're allowed to go shopping, so we're not running out of food, but it is definitely confining.
(If you want to join my Realm, send a pm. No mass destruction or mean pranks, it's just my kids and our gaming friends right now, since we can't meet weekly like usual.)

I've started up Minecraft as well. PM sent.
I'm back at work now (off for a pulled hamstring). I guess truck tires are essential. I wasn't really feeling any stress at home, but now I'm around all these other stressed out people and my blood pressure is rising.

Just started to supposedly be working from home. Can't get peace quiet and concentrate with wife and kid in the apartment. Already going stir-crazy from being at home for over two weeks.

Confined at home for three weeks now. It’s been easy since I can work from home, the house is wide, and we’ve got a garden. Also, we lived in a rather small town, about 30.000 people, 25 km away from the Atlantic coast so it could be worse. My sister lives in Paris and is stuck in a small flat with her roommates. The main deception is we planed to fly to Vancouver for months for the marathon. We should arrive at April 30, and it obviously won’t happen.

Obviously, I have gone insane being shut in the house all day for weeks. I have been unable to cope with 3 kids, 3 dogs, 4 cats, a hedgehog whose cage takes up my kitchen table, and 2 tanks of bettas. I needed a puppy.

Dorian, try to come out to Vancouver next year. Hammett and I will meet up with you for a few drinks.
Brennon, that is madness! How do you keep them all fed? The pets, that is, I assume the humans can mostly feed themselves.

Well.. My spouse is a professional dog trainer. We wrote off one of the dogs as a business expense on our taxes. Usually, we can get 'employee' discounts at every non-chain pet supply store in town. My daughter pays for fish food and stuff out of her allowance. The hedgehog eats high-grade cat food (same as the cats) with dried mealworms (bird feeder supply, not pet store price) mixes in. Sometimes we trade lessons for dog food, but right now that's not feasible.
