Fully healed? No, just mostly. It is with random stabbing pains and creaky joints that Brian gets out of bed and dressed. Upon leaving his room, Brian finds a small table placed by his door with a copy of the Book of the Unicorn.

[OC: Or, he gets a trump call.]
Brian can sense the start of someone trying to contact him via trump. Who's interfering with him now?

Once the Trump call concludes I resume my path to the regent. Meditating on the weird impulses and thoughts ongoing of late

#s://i~ibb~co/j5FLskF/Florimel~jpg The book says nothing of use. The standard religious scratchings. Standard because all others are echoes. Even before entering the small dining room, he can hear the mirth and merriment through the door. Inside, he finds Flora and her friends lunching and drinking copious amounts of champagne. A few of the women he recognizes from the party, but he hasn't yet met any of them. "My, my, my, it's the sainted Lord Brian!" Flora says, glowing with amusement. She would look lovely if Brian wasn't the amuser. The other ladies giggle along with their host. The two monks dressed in green who hover near another door to the room do not seem to share in the amusement. But with their cowles covering their faces, maybe they do smile?

I am not amused, but I do also smile. "Princess Regent." I give her a polite bow. "I had hoped to catch you in more confidence than this. I wanted to debrief you about events in Shadow more in confidence. " I glance at the Monks "Sooner would be better. But I did stumble into the castle bleeding a bit. So I wouldn't want to disrupt your luncheon with your ladies of the court. Perhaps we can speak closer to Dinner time?" I turn to the monks "Pardon me brothers: Which Clerical party are you here representing? The Cathedral perhaps? If so I would like to thank you for tending to my wounds earlier. If you could pass it on to your superiors? If you are here representing the other Clerical party....well....I also would like to speak to your superiors. Now is not a time for a crisis of faith in Amber. '
OOC; Nothing that suggests where my anointing is foretold?

#s://i~ibb~co/j5FLskF/Florimel~jpg OOC: It's a very long book with lots of thee's, thow's, and begat's. It will take much more time to properly read and understand. "I would like to hear about how you got so cut up. Again. I am sure we can find the time later today."The two monks bow slightly to Brian but do not speak. "They have taken a vow of silence with all except moi! Besides, don't you know that it is rude to discuss religion at a party?"The other ladies giggle again.

"I do know that rule. And that's why I wanted to talk to them after." I smile a bit at Flora.
I sigh a bit. "Events in Eshanta didn't go as well as I would have liked. Coy using his preferred tactic of attacking me with a mob got some blades into me. Blades designed for fighting demons....tougher than average ones if I had any guessing. Eshanta was odd. The King was driven mad....mad in a way that isn't polite dinner conversation. I don't know if Coy was the one who drove him mad or if the place drove them both mad. After exposing the lack of discipline in the second mob of soldiers Coy had to try to kill us.....Kat sent me here to get healing." I look for an open chair and look for Flora's permission to sit.
"I met one of your sisters. I have a feeling she told me something like this would all fall into place....other family members are....well....another subject I wouldn't want to discuss in mixed company. So who my dear Regent is the Murderer's row you have assembled here with you?"

"Princess Sand.....The advice she gave me seems more meaningful now versus being just odd. " I smile " Lovely woman. "

#s://i~ibb~co/j5FLskF/Florimel~jpg "Ha! That sounds like Sand - too cowardly to come to Amber, so she lairs in shadow dispensing rumour and cliche to all who fall into her web. I'd not take her council seriously; she has been away for too long to have any helpful insight. Amuse us by telling what she said," Flora says, maybe not as jovially as she tried to sound.

" Aunty Flora? " I cock an eyebrow at her " I thought we were observing the old rules eh? ' No politics, No Religion...' and all that. That's why I wanted to debrief you in private. So I could say all those impolite things" I have a smile on my lips " But if your Aunty Flora then you know who one of my parents are and you've held out on me....and lied to Bleys..." I laugh softly " Unless Bleys lied to me."

[OOC: Posting here so it does no get lost in the other thread.]
Maeve has asked one of the servant bringing the furniture to the south wing to tell Brian she would like to meet him in the South wing. The servant might catch up with Brian when he leaves with Flora.
