"Maybe somewhere there is a switch. Something to turn on the real powers and restore this place to normal."

A soft scoffing sound escapes Dio, she keeps looking around and shakes her head while she does it.
"Or perhaps, this is their normal. THis insane downpull, these flat connected lands. FOr our world is not the only one."
A slight smile to the woman "I might not have had acces to many books in the convent but i did hear tales. Also tales of forests where this cruel prince Julian drove through. But what is fiction in that and what is truth is something to be found out, if ever."
Standing in her stoic way as she did through services she speaks in a firm tone. "For do not think your duty is to question, your questino is only how to perform your duty."
Saying that what mother superior always said made Dio miss her a bit. But she would not let that show to the others.
[[ooc with how many are they still the General this woman and?]]

INTERLUDE:
Secret summons were always a pain in the ass, but this time she remembered to bring the sharpest knife from the kitchens and enough bandages to wrap the wound. And to put on her cross-trainers.
She delegated all her day's work to underlings, snuck through the hidden door under the stain-glassed portrait of the Great Hero, followed the long, damp hall to a special sealed door, cut off a finger and placed it in the slot, as always wondering if this was the time she couldn't grow it back, pass through the now open door and into the next of the Shadow Ways, waled up sliding, endless steps while bandaging her bleeding hand, onto a shelf, in the corner, in the spotlight she began to dance the Watusi then the Boni-Maroni, then working her way through the whole repertoire of the Land of 10,000 Dances before being admitted to the Grotto of Splendors.
The reflective pool hung on the ceiling of the place as was proper.
"The pigeon flew the coop," the voice from the pool said.
"I prefer to call her a dove," replied the Mother Superior still asweat from the dances.
"Call her what you will. You have the bird neither in hand or bush."
"I find these poor metaphors to be tiresome."
"Ha! But you did lose her."
"Not lose. Stolen. She was summoned by another. Not my fault."
"But your responsibility. Gather the militant wing of your order and recover my girl."
"That could prove difficult if you-know-who did the summoning."
"You will have help."
An image began to form in the water. A severe woman of the Courts dressed in the cloak and leather getup now considered by the youths of the Courts of Chaos to be fashionably evil and threatening. The Mother Superior made a career of laughing at such egotistical displays. The woman's image was surrounded by a flock of oily, black ravens—another fetish of the egotistical and another laugh from the Mother.
"This one?" she asks skeptically. "You must be able to find someone more well suited for the job."
"You may be surprised at her abilities," the Voice assured her. "Don't let the Emo fool you - she will grow into a great talent once she progresses beyond this phase."
"Haven't I been saddled with enough teenagers in my time?"
"It is your career, your calling, your specialty."
She sighs. "I suppose so, but when I get back, we will need to talk about my getting a raise. And more fingers - in these days of trouble, two hundred isn't enough when walking your Ways."

[OOC: The group only has four members left: Dio, the General, and the man and woman. Neither has introduced themself, but Dio has heard the man referred to as Entropy and the woman as Sword of Chaos.]
"It is cruel to leave them all scurrying about in their limited world when one has the power to expand their consciousness and show them the glories of higher dimensioned Chaos.
"I know my duty, girl, and will do my part as the General commands."
The ground below rises as they fly farther and farther away from the sea. The plateau falls off, and a vast ocean of grass spreads out below them.

Dio conciders the woman her words she had discussions in the convent, theoretical ones. Not many though she figures this might not be the crowd to start one of those. She just simply nods.
Looking below amazed by the flat grass land. Shocked by the.... order of things.
Dio leans back a bit and looks up at the woman.
"Yes of course, i would not imply that you did not know your duty. It was just something mother superior always said when i did question my orders or duties, or at least discussed them. Speaking of which, whqt exactly is my duty i have to fulfill here?"

The Sword shrugs.
"The General needed a seventh and the Hidden One delivered you unto us. For good luck, you see," she gives a snide smile at the mention of good luck.
"We are here to stop Vada. I believe the General will have us kill her, but a good leader never tells his charges the complete plan. How we are to kill her? Will depend on where we find her. If you were sent to help us then you must be bringing some skills to the table, yes?"

Dio looks at the lady nods slowly. She scoffs softly at the mention of luck.
"I see, thank you for the answer, and no a leader should never reveal iets full plan. As for what i bring to the table i hope it is more then the vague promise of luck."
Duo stares over the green grassy plain thinking of what other uses and motives could be for having her here. She is certainly not the most experienced fighter. If they just needed brute force to kill another, better options would be around plenty. Would it have to do with her parentage? Or to whom she is linked... eventho she has not yet had the pleasure of seeing her parents they kept her in the convent for good reasons, she is sure.

The grasslands end in range after range of rocky, broken hills. They climb to higher and higher elevations and the great mountains get closer and closer. Vast towering snow shrouded peaks they are, reaching far far into the sky and dominating the view of this world. Their greatness only dampened by the fact they are rooted to the ground and do not float free across the swirls of chaotic matter as proper mountains should.

"So these would be the mountains of madness that person told the general about. I fail to see yet what the madness would be of these mountains. Perhaps closerby or in a cave system things would be more deemed mad. But then again what the people here revere as madness could be for us the most mundane everyday possible."
Dio looks at the woman.
"Do you not wonder sometimes if you see things like this, what is the mundane and what is madness? Is it not that with which you have grown up with and taught at a young age. Got used to."
A soft shake of the head and chuckle follows
"Who makes us to judge these people their existence."
A shrug and Dio looks around more. Perhaps expecting to see demon armies of Vada.

"They are a limited species of insect. Eyes blind to the greater glories of the universe, minds too primitive to comprehend any glimpse they do catch. I will be vexed if our job here is to save these things from their natural extermination."
They reach the base of the great mountain range. Far above is one peak greater than all the others. The carpets continue to fly up at a steep angle, mere inches from the ground below. Then the snow below. Soon great winds are pummeling the quartet, snow frozen to ice stings any exposed flesh.
The General calls a halt to the flight.
"From here, we will have to climb," he says while staring into the blinding snowstorm as if hoping to pierce the white void by the power of his glare.

Dio looks at the woman after she spoke. Give her a short nod, of acknowledging she heard her.
When they start moving up Dio looks around her amazed again by such weird and such organized orderly thing as snow. The flakes are.... perfectly symmetrical. Snow moving with the blow of the wind.
Odd. For her... she reminds herself.
Hearing they have to climb up she nods. With the rest she steps of the carpet.
Thankfully they can all shift shape to help climb. Or at least she and the woman can.

The other three make slight alterations to their form to assist in the climbing. For the moment, they walk up a broad if steep incline. Ahead, who knows? the swirling gale blows enough snow to block any view more than a few yards ahead and prevent flying.
"Be mindful of crevasses, or cliff edges hidden by the snow," the General advises.

Dio follows, adjusting as she feels needed. She tries to follow in the footsteps of the one before her in that way she knows there is a ground to stand on.
Though she keeps being mindful of a sudden disappearance of ground under her.
Just hoping wherever they are going they'll be there fast.

The path becomes steeper, and they soon need to use their hands to assist in the climb.
"This is not for me," the woman growls from beside Dio. "Put me in front of the enemy, and I will fight. All this outdoorsy business isn't for me."
The ledge they cross begins to thin, and they are soon climbing in single file up a frozen ridge. To the left and right, miles deep crevasses gape. The winds swirl and continue to blow snow like razor blades against their skin.
The General grumbles and flexes his hands to try and restore feeling in his fingers.

Dio nods to the woman. Understanding where she is comming from.
She knew harsh conditions to work in. But never really this. Always still a roof over her head and a mat or cot to sleep on.
"I am sure we are almost at the top." She speaks under heavy breaths. She has no clue if they are almost at the top and eveb if they are.... what then. Will that Vada even be there. And will they be in a condition to fight or even defend themselves.
Seeing the General struggle as well Dio her doubts and thoughts, if this was really the right choice, dances through her mind. But she keeps on climbing growing claws and fur on hands and feet to have more grip on this icy mountain.
She might be clueless and a tad naive she has determination.
"Do you expect her to be at the top, General?"
Dio shouts through the storm
