I can't remember any Amberites with an affinity for Dragons though. Oberon had the Dragon Wixer to guard Dworkin and keep him imprisoned.

Dragons dosound more like a CoC thing. Although Xu Limag did see one sleeping k the roof of his hotel in Amber city.

I added it in as 'Fantasy flavor'. We have monitor lizards here in Singapore and I thought that a small species of dragon could fill a similar niche (rodent/pigeon eater) in a fantasy world.
Xu is pretty certain his mother is a woman from Shadow. In other games his father has been Caine and Random.
The Caine one was fun because he hunting for Rinaldo to avenge the cowardly murder of his father. If Rinaldo had killed him in a duel or in battle that would have been one thing but to shoot him from afar without even declaring his intent on vendetta was without honor. So Xu Liang and Rinaldo was an ongoing cat and mouse game. Then Xu Liang meets Luke who was a Pattern ghost of him if I remember correctly. So then Xu Liang is going back and forth about whether killing Luke would be vengeance or not. He decided it would not be because Luke was not Rinaldo. At some point Xu Liang comments about Rinaldo owing him a debt and Luke offers to settle the debt, perhaps understanding what he was offering but most likely not. Xu Liang points out that sometimes having things to do is necessary in a long life and that the pursuit of them is better than the quick achievement. Now I want to go and reread all that adventure. I'll have to do a bit of digging...

Speaking of Bleys mating with a female version of Bleys...
Isn't that like Corwin's incestuous infatuation with Deirdre?
Seems to me that Oberon/Ganelon was in on this: Creating the Land of Lorraine and having Lorraine there, seemingly a Shadow version of Deirdre?
Then it gets weird when Oberon/Ganelon murders Lorraine so that he can get Corwin back on track...
But, this foreshadows Dierdre's ultimate demise....

Infatuation? Is that all it was?

I could envision that... Corwin walking toward him slowly, breathing heavily, dressed in black (and silver), saying, "Cody, I am your father..." Just substitute a Pattern-blade for the light-saber and ditch the helmet...

Now the question of interest:
Could Dio be a Child of Dalt or Sand

Seems unlikely to be Dalt as I couldn't see him placing his child in a Monestary that venerates Julian? I mean the guy literally hates Amber. Sand is more possible I'd have thought, but I'm not sure on the motivation.

Why 'or'?

And thats the reason why Dalt saved Dio. But knowing he was dying brought her to Sand to fix her... Now wouldn't that a dramatic and perfect picture.
