"No. Prince Gerard has stopped in once or twice. Prince Martin is a regular." He doesn't go further into who in the family may or may not stop by on occasion. Privacy is another perk of visiting Wormwood's. He didn't mind mentioning Gerard, as when he shows up it is usually with the fleet and some fanfare that he is in town, so no big secret where he goes when in Kasaba. And Martin was here enough that it was common knowledge that you might find him having a drink or jamming with the band every month or so.
"If you are that worried about family finding you, you picked a strange area to ply your trade. One could almost think you want to get caught, or at least chased."

"Chased yes, caught not really. My father and I have an understanding. I don't cause too much trouble and I get left alone."

Hammett didn't want to delve any deeper into the obviously messed up psychology that was behind that statement. Issues, especially Daddy ones, seemed all to common in the Barimen family.
He looks to Maeve, "And what brings you back to this stretch of shadows?"

"Have you heard about the Calvetti family from the Golden Cirle Kingdom of Shawa, wealthy merchants but so slippery that you want to take a bath after dealing with them.
I met one of them who actually has a back bone and the courage to cheat on poker on me. Made me curious so I went along. In the end Roderigo and me went out for a merchant Expedition into shadows.
I was routing for Shawa home port with the Marie Celeste crossing Kasfhan waters when I met Captian Dirk." Maeve grins
"It was either as nice talk in Wormwoods or looking for the nearest Amber navy patrol. The first option sounded more civilized. And Roderigo is surely having fun on the local market."

"I am very grateful for your kindness. Leading me here was a much better choice if I do say so myself. A drink with family is much more pleasant than dealing with the navy." Dirk drinks more and chuckles.

"Yes in deed, swimming to the next coastline is so tiring, just because the navy made your ship a target practice." Maeves gives back.

Dirk laughs. "Although, people with our talents would be able to find dry land sooner rather than later if we just kept swimming. Swimming through shadow is an interesting idea. I hope we never have to see if that is feasible. "
"I do appreciate you not taking a shot at me whilst I was chasing you." He nods.

" I did, swimming trough shadow, diving trough shadow. Don't do it near Amber. Somehwere deep in Shadow, it can be a real fun." Maeve gives back.
"Using Cannons somewhere in the Golden Circle is always tricky, you could be to close to Amber." Maeve says. "Some nice Greek fire and a catapult on the other hand."

Dirk chuckles, "I wonder what Rebma would do with me if I found myself there? Not that I have any intention of actually finding out."
Dirk hums softly and stretches to relax.

"Depends if you have plundered any Rebma embassy or not. Rebmas are not eating landdwellers, too chewy." Maeve replies. "Maybe one day you should go to Rebma, it is ... " She looks for a moment absent. "... very beautiful."
"Have you ever been to Rebma?" She looks at Hammett.

Hammett shrugs slightly, "Once or twice. I was able to tag along with certain envoys or for an event or two. It is very pretty, but takes some getting use to."

"I haven't had the pleasure myself. I don't think I could get Way with showing up in Amber right now. Perhaps if life circumstances change I'll visit."
Dirk stretches more and pops his knuckles.

"Maybe if you'd try your hand at a different line of work you'd have more freedom to come and go where and when you please? Piracy will always be seen as unsavory. Now smuggling on the other hand, that is where the money is. Piracy is seen as bullying and brute-force theft and murder, smuggling takes smarts and skill. It is miles higher on the coolness scale. It is mostly victimless, but it is criminal enough to flatter your rebellious leanings and still be seen as giving the finger to your old man and the court, without having to avoid the castle altogether." Hammett shrugs, "Just something to consider before it is too late"

"There's not a criminal enterprise in existence around this end of the world that my father doesn't have a finger in. But I will take your advice into consideration. "
Dirk drinks and looks around a bit.
